SPAH will focus its attention on the Reef Islands on the northern most fringe of the Temotu Province. This chain of coral island atolls consists of 8 small islands with a total population of 9000 people.

SPAH will deliver:

  • Surgical support team
  • Medical and Allied Health care
  • Tinea Medication Program
  • Development evaluation

It is anticipated that at least 1500 people will be in need of urgent medical attention. This will set the precedent for relationship building and a solid platform from which to consult with community leadership to ascertain their short term and long term needs for capacity building in the areas of:

  • WASH
  • Training and education

Our partner in Honiara, SIM, will co-ordinate the evaluation and establishment of Community AM Radio on Nendo Island which has the capacity to broadcast into Vanuatu providing much anticipated programs on health and lifestyle and family and community welfare.

SIM will also be running a concurrent CHIP Program  (Complete Health Improvement Program) renowned world wide for its efficacy in addressing the non communicable disease burden of developing nations. Click here to find out more about the CHIP Program.
